The CTT is Canada 's 10th and Ontario 's 4th largest urban area with over 1200 manufacturing operations employing over 61,000 people in the region. Globalization and offshore competition has put significant pressure on local manufacturers to increase productivity and improve product offering. DDI was established to aid domestic manufacturers to address these very necessities.
